YOKEEMO
A Game Born From Hope
It was born in one of life's hardest moments.
Our co-founder Michelle had just been diagnosed with cancer. Six rounds of chemotherapy lay ahead. Like so many people facing treatment for the first time, she was overwhelmed with fear, uncertainty, and questions that no one could truly answer.
"I'm terrified. I don't know what to expect. I know I should stay positive, but the dark thoughts keep winning. Everything about chemotherapy scares me... but it's the only path I have. I want to live. I have so much to live for."
During Michelle's very first chemotherapy treatment, her husband and YoKeemo co-founder, Carlo Pablo, found himself unable to look away from the IV bag. Mesmerized by every drop slowly making its way toward Michelle, he quietly began talking to the medicine itself.
"Please work."
He watched each drop as if it carried its own mission as if every one was a tiny warrior entering the battle to save the person he loved most.
That moment sparked a question.
What if every drop of chemotherapy wasn't just medicine? What if it became a hero? What if treatment could be transformed from something terrifying into an adventure where hope, courage, and healing had faces, names, and stories?
From that question, YoKeemo was born.
Not simply as a game, but as a new way to experience one of life's hardest journeys. A world where fear is met with imagination, where every treatment becomes a battle worth fighting, and where patients are reminded that they are never fighting alone.
